When: 28 Jun 2024 At the heart of teaching Mindfulness Based Programmes is an engagement with the reality of suffering. This one day workshop provides an opportunity to reflect on how exclusion and discrimination can cause suffering, a space to consider our responsibilities as supervisors and teachers, and to explore together what we can do to be more inclusive and how we can actively promote equality and diversity. Learning Intentions: Who is the training for: This training is suitable for anyone working within the mindfulness field including teachers (new and established), trainers, supervisors, retreat leaders, mentors and administrators. What is involved: We will engage in storytelling, some active learning exercises as well as discuss case studies of situations which could arise in our work as mindfulness teachers, supervisors and retreat leads. We will also have the opportunity to explore what practical action we can take to promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
