Tutors: Rick Hanson, Estrella Fernandez, Sophie Sansom
About the event:
"Inner strengths are the supplies you've got in your pack as you make your way down the twisting and often hard road of life"
“When you build up the sense of being already peaceful, contented, and loved—your well-being becomes increasingly unconditional, less dependent on external conditions.”
Rick Hanson (from 'Hardwiring Happiness: The New Brain Science of Contentment, Calm and Confidence')
We are delighted to offer this donation event exploring themes of resilience, compassion and self-compassion in our lives during these times. The evening will be a mix of guided practice and discussion offered by our trio of guest speakers who represent three different aspects of the Mindfulness Network charity: our Trustees, our close partners at Bangor University and our wider Network.
Our guests are Rick Hanson PhD, the world-renowned psychologist who founded the Global Compassion Coaltion, is a Senior Fellow of UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center and a New York Times best-selling author; Estrella Fernandez, one of the Mindfulness Network's Trustees and founder of MBCT Spain; and Sophie Samson, co-director of the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University and Trustee Chair at BAMBA.

Donations:
Our donation-events are an opportunity to come together in a community of kindness. This is an ever-widening circle of generosity which includes all those teaching or supporting generously giving their time freely; participants benefitting from practice and perhaps sharing this; participants kindly donating if possible; and all of this supports the MN in its work and in its support of others requiring financial support, who in turn pass on the practices in their communities.
You are welcome to visit the Community Friends area of our Community site, which is free and open to all, for more opportunities to practice and learn together.
