When: 31 Oct 2026 - 1 Nov 2026
Where: Online Event
Tutor: Rosalie Dores
Mindful movement invites us into the living experience of the body. Rather than something to think about, it is something we feel in to—moment by moment. Sensation, breath, effort, ease, resistance, flow… all of it part of the field of awareness.
In mindfulness-based approaches, the body is not an optional accessory—it’s the foundation of life, and mindfulness practice. Movement offers a way of inhabiting awareness more fully, sensing from the inside out and learning the language of the body. Jon Kabat - Zinn has described this as “bodyfulness”: a knowing that arises through a direct embodied experience.
And yet, movement is often the practice that gets left out—sometimes because it can feel uncertain, vulnerable, or hard to teach. This training is an invitation to gently turn toward that edge and learn skills both to experience your embodiment more fully and to practice teaching from this; from the inside out. This embodied orientation to living and teaching is relevant both to mindful movement, and to teaching mindfulness more generally.
Together, we’ll explore, experientially, how to move with awareness and how we might teach this to others. To listen inwardly. To discover how movement can support presence, regulation, and connection—movement, not as performance, but as process and practice.
There will be space to:
- sense into your own relationship with movement
- notice habits, preferences, and limits with kindness
- explore simple sequences that can be shared with others
- find your own authentic way of guiding movement practice
Who is the training for:
This training is open to those who already have some grounding in mindfulness practice, such as MBSR or MBCT. It’s especially relevant for mindfulness teachers at any stage, as well as those supporting others through teaching, training, or retreat work.
You’re also welcome if you simply feel curious about deepening your own embodied practice.
This day could form part of the CPD requirement for BAMBA's Professional Standards for Mindfulness Teachers.
How we’ll practice:
You’ll be invited to move at your own pace, listening to your body’s signals and respecting its limits. There’s no “right way” here—only an ongoing exploration of what’s present.
If you have any injuries, health conditions, or concerns, you’re warmly encouraged to get in touch beforehand so we can support your participation.
Learning Outcomes:
- A growing trust in your ability to guide mindful movement
- A felt understanding of why movement matters in mindfulness
- Simple, adaptable movement sequences
- A deepened connection with your own embodied practice
- Deepened enquiry and understanding of MBI-TAC Domains 3 (Embodying Mindfulness) and 4 (Guiding Mindfulness Practices).
